This week at the Year 6 Graduation dinner we presented two worthy young people and congratulate Khloe Burns and William Ramazan.

Congratulations to you all and to Eve who was our Hindmarsh Shield recipient.
This year Tenison Woods Catholic School has introduced a wellbeing program for students to build confidence and develop friendships throughout the Grow Your Mind program. Our ESO Educator Monique has developed a 4 week program connecting the characters of the brain explored through the program and health curriculum, with cooking and food safety. The students are having a great time learning and enhancing their cooking skills, building on character strengths and fostering new friendships.
On Nov 1st our community celebrated the Official Opening of our Learning Centre and the 25th birthday of Tension Woods Catholic school.
1997 saw the amalgamation of St Joseph’s and Kilmara Catholic Schools on the Richmond site. Over the past years the space has changed with new buildings, playgrounds, increased enrolments and a staff now of 28.
With special guests including Archbishop Patrick, Fr Long Hai, past staff and school board members, the windy and wet day could not dampen the enthusiasm and singing of the children. We thank Paula, Dee and Peta for their planning along with Kirsty Miller and Jess Rainsford for the catering support. We thank those that have walked the journey with us and we look forward to what the future holds for everyone.
Congratulations to Sarah Byrne and Heather Docherty who have been awarded by the Department of Education for achieving Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher status by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL).
On Thursday 16th September our 2021 School Concert was held at the Christian Family Centre, Seaton. The concert was called "In the beginning" and told the story of God's Creation through days 1-7. The students dressed in a plethora of costumes, dancing, singing and playing instruments such as ocarinas, belle plates, ukuleles, recorders and bucket drumming. They also used body percussion to create rainstorm! The 5/6's treated us to a rap battle and to finish the whole school performed "In the Beginning" by Andrew Chinn
